Get your hotel live in under 20 minutes

Follow these seven steps to create your listing, connect payments, and start receiving direct bookings at just 9% commission.

Create your account

Head to the sign-up page and register with your email address. You'll need to verify your email before continuing.

  • Use the email address you want booking notifications sent to
  • Choose a strong password — this protects your revenue data
  • You'll be taken straight to your dashboard after verifying

Add your hotel details

Fill in your hotel profile from the dashboard settings page. The more detail you provide, the better your listing performs in search and with AI agents.

  • Hotel name, address, city, and state
  • Star rating (1–5)
  • A compelling description — tell guests what makes your property special
  • Amenity tags (wifi, pool, parking, restaurant, gym, etc.)
  • Semantic tags for AI discovery (pet-friendly, business-friendly, beach-access, etc.)
  • Contact email and phone number

Add your room types

Create each room type you offer using our guided form. Select from preset room types or create custom ones.

  • Choose a room type from the dropdown (Standard, Deluxe, Suite, Family, etc.) or enter a custom name
  • Set how many of this room type you have — this sets your default inventory
  • Select bed configuration from presets (1 King, 2 Singles, Queen + Single, etc.)
  • Set your base nightly rate in AUD and optional room size in sqm
  • Toggle room amenities from grouped chips (WiFi, air con, minibar, balcony, ocean view, etc.)
  • Upload up to 5 photos per room type

Set your cancellation policy

Choose a cancellation policy that applies to all bookings at your hotel. This is displayed to guests before they book.

  • Flexible — full refund up to 24 hours before check-in
  • Moderate — full refund up to 5 days before check-in
  • Strict — all bookings are non-refundable
  • Your policy is shown on your listing page and during checkout

Set your availability and rates

Use the availability calendar in your dashboard to control which dates each room type is bookable. Set custom rates for weekends, events, and seasonal periods.

  • Monthly calendar view — click any date to edit rate and room count
  • Bulk edit — set rates for a date range, optionally filter by day of week (e.g. Fri+Sat only)
  • Quick setup — one click fills 90 days with your base rate and inventory
  • Override the base rate for specific dates (e.g. higher for NYE, lower mid-week)
  • Colour-coded: green = available, red = sold out, amber = rate override

Connect payments

Choose how you want to handle payments. If you use a PMS like Newbook or Mews, you can charge guests directly through your existing system. Otherwise, set up Stripe Connect.

  • Option A: Connect your PMS — guests are charged by the hotel directly, we invoice 9% monthly
  • Option B: Connect Stripe — payments split automatically, hotel gets 91%, HotelPath retains 9%
  • Stripe setup takes about 5 minutes through their hosted onboarding flow
  • PMS users: connect your instance token from the Integrations page in your dashboard

Start receiving bookings

Your hotel is now live. Guests can find you through our website, city landing pages, and AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.

  • Bookings appear in your dashboard in real-time
  • You'll receive email notifications for each new booking
  • Guest payments go directly to your Stripe account
  • Manage bookings, update availability, and track revenue from your dashboard
  • Your listing is automatically indexed by search engines and AI crawlers

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to list?

Nothing. There are no setup fees, no monthly fees, and no lock-in contracts. You only pay a flat 9% commission when a booking is confirmed.

How do I get paid?

Payments go directly to your Stripe account via Stripe Connect. When a guest pays, the full amount is captured by Stripe, your share (91% at default commission) is transferred to you, and HotelPath retains the commission.

Can I set different rates for different dates?

Yes. The availability grid lets you override your base rate on any date. Set higher rates for peak periods, lower rates to fill mid-week gaps — it's entirely up to you.

Do I need to match my rates on other platforms?

No. Unlike the big booking sites, we don't require rate parity. You're free to set whatever rates you like on HotelPath, and offer better prices than elsewhere if you choose.

What is AI distribution?

HotelPath has a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini search and book your hotel programmatically. When a traveller asks an AI to find a hotel in your city, your property can show up — no ad spend required.

How long does setup take?

Most hotels are fully live within 15–20 minutes. The longest part is entering your room types and availability. Stripe onboarding takes about 5 minutes.
